2,999 Tees.
48 Hours.
1 Legend.
2,999 T-shirts submerged at the site of the shipwreck of Santo Cristo de Burgos. Infused with the Pacific. Preserved in cotton.
Not Just Touching
the Ocean Floor.
Touching Legend.
In 1693 a Manila Galleon — the Santo Cristo de Burgos — vanished off the Oregon Coast. For three centuries the Pacific has been returning fragments: beeswax blocks stamped with Spanish colonial marks, scattered across Nehalem beaches. We're dropping 2,999 tees to where she sleeps.

In the wild, wintery months of 1693 Santo Cristo de Burgos is claimed by the sea. Some 300 years later, the legend of the Beeswax Wreck has captivated many, inspiring the movie the Goonies.
"We're not making just a T-shirt. We're creating a relic infused with wild history and adventure."

Departing Astoria Harbor, 2999 t-shirts are lowered into the wild ocean wreck area, in crab cages, where they rest for 48 hours among the sea-soaked timber, barnacled beams, and ghostly silt. Sign up to follow live drop.
